São Tomé & Príncipe

São Tomé and Príncipe, an amazing nation, is Africa’s second smallest country after Seychelles. These islands lie in the middle of the Atlantic, located off the West African coastline in the Gulf of Guinea. The country enjoys a humid and hot climate, featuring large rainforests, white sandy beaches, and crystal-clear waters. Volcanoes covered in lush green forests rise majestically, with waterfalls cascading down the mountainsides. They gained independence from Portugal in 1975, and the economy relies primarily on agriculture, with cocoa as the main cash crop. São Tomé and Príncipe is a country with a rich cultural heritage and a population of about 220,000 people, covering a surface area of approximately 964 square kilometres, with Portuguese as its official language.
